Leon Bailey Foundation kicks off back-to-school season in Cassava Piece

Jamaican international footballer Leon Bailey, through the Leon Bailey Foundation, is helping children in his home community of Cassava Piece begin the new school year equipped, encouraged and ready to succeed.

The foundation recently supported the Cassava Piece Back-to-School Treat, providing essential school supplies while creating a fun and memorable experience for children and families in the community.

The initiative was carried out in partnership with the Cassava Piece Youth Upliftment Group, Member of Parliament Delano Seiveright, community volunteers and local leaders. The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to investing in the education, development and well-being of children in Cassava Piece.

As part of the outreach, children received backpacks and essential school supplies to help ensure they are prepared for the start of the new academic year.

The event also featured a range of activities, including a football kickoff, giving children an opportunity to celebrate, connect with their peers and build excitement for the school year ahead.

For Bailey, the initiative represents more than simply providing school supplies. It is also an opportunity to give back to the community that played an important role in shaping his journey to the international football stage.
