27-member Jamaican team set for 2026 Pan American Handgun Championship in Aruba

A 27-member national team from the Jamaica Rifle Association (JRA) is set to compete in the 2026 Pan American Handgun Championship in Aruba at the Wela Shooting Range.

The event is being hosted under International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) rules.

The Jamaican contingent is led by JRA President Rohan Wilson, who will also be competing in the championships. The team includes a formidable ladies squad that captured bronze at the 2022 Championships.

The ladies team has retained key members of the history-making ladies bronze medal team from the 2022 championships, which includes Captain Yeonie Campbell, Renee Ricki, and Cpl Shayon Francis.

Jamaica also field a strong three-man senior team expected to contend for podium finishes, featuring local National Champion Ryan Bramwell, Robin Ricki, and Christopher Nunes.

In addition to the athletes, the Jamaican contingent includes two dedicated match officials.

The team will compete across four divisions: Open, Optics Production, and Production Optics.

The main match competition begins on Wednesday, one day after the opening ceremony, which welcomed approximately 25 countries.
