The police in Manchester have charged a 19-year-old man for allegedly breaking into a house, stealing items and leaving behind his identification card.
He is Alando Young, of Jones Lane district in Christiana, Manchester, who is charged with house breaking and larceny.
The police say Young was recently taken into custody in relation to a break-in at another house in the Wesley Heights community.
According to reports from the Mandeville police, a woman who oversees a townhouse on behalf of its owner secured the premises in September and left.
The police further reported that when she returned on Sunday, October 25, about 1:25 p.m., she discovered that the house had been ransacked and several items stolen.
The stolen items included a PlayStation 4 console valued at CAD$800 and a Nintendo Switch valued at CAD$755, according to the police.
It was further reported that entry was gained through a kitchen window.
According to the police, the woman also discovered a National Identification Card bearing the name Alando Young on a table in the living room.
A report was made to the police, and the scene was processed.
Young, who was already in police custody in connection with another house breaking and larceny incident at the same complex, was subsequently interviewed in relation to the matter, the police reported.
He was formally charged with the offence on Wednesday, October 28.
Young is scheduled to appear before the Manchester Parish Court on Wednesday, November 4.
