Brothers charged over alleged stabbing during water dispute in Olympic Gardens

Twin brothers, 20-year-old Oshane Hibbert, otherwise called ‘Biggy’, and 20-year-old Odane Hibbert, otherwise called ‘Likkle’, have been charged with allegedly stabbing a man during a dispute over water in the Olympic Gardens area of St Andrew.

They are charged with wounding with intent.

The brothers are scheduled to appear before the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Thursday, October 1.

Reports from the Olympic Gardens police are that about 8:50 p.m. on Sunday, August 16, a man who occupies a yard with the brothers returned home and noticed them using water from a pipe he had installed in the yard.

According to the police, the man reportedly turned off the water, resulting in the brothers repeatedly turning the water on and off.

A verbal altercation ensued, which quickly escalated into a physical confrontation, the police reported.

According to the police, during the fracas, the brothers reportedly inflicted multiple stab wounds to the man’s body.

He was taken to the hospital, where he was treated and admitted.

A report was made to the police.

The brothers were arrested and subsequently charged.
