With less than 30 days to go, the official countdown to the Magnum – A Taste of Reggae Sumfest event kicked off with a media launch last Thursday at Jangas Soundbar and Grill in Kingston. Organisers and sponsors gathered to share plans for the highly anticipated staging, which this year moves from its traditional Montego Bay home to Plantation Cove in Priory, St Ann. Set for July 18, the one-night event will see dancehall stars Vybz Kartel and Mavado take centre stage for the iconic Gully vs Gaza performance. Also billed to take the stage are Jamal, Ayetian, Queen Ifrica, Harry Toddler, Shawn Storm, Marcy Chin and Young Wild Apache. Something Extra has the social highlights.
