Policeman dies after crash on highway in Clarendon, JCF in mourning

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) is mourning the death of a policeman who died after sustaining injuries in a crash on the Bustamante Highway in Clarendon this morning.

He has been identified as Shavaine Davy, who was attached to the Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch (PSTEB) in the Corporate Area.

Details of how the crash occurred were not disclosed.

In paying tribute, the JCF described Davy as a dedicated professional whose service reflected courage and devotion to duty.

“His dedication, professionalism, and commitment to serving and protecting the people of Jamaica will be remembered by all who had the privilege of working alongside him.”

The JCF extended condolences to his loved ones and colleagues.

“The force mourns the loss of a valued member whose service reflected courage and devotion to duty. During this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones, fellow officers, and all those affected by this tragic loss. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his family find strength and comfort in the cherished memories of his life and service.”
