Twenty-five-year-old Jeanell Warren, who is charged with allegedly collecting $1.4 million for the sale of a property she did not own, was today granted $1.5 million bail with one to two sureties in the St Catherine Parish Court.

Warren is charged with obtaining money by false pretence.

In granting bail, Parish Court Judge Courtney Maxwell ordered that she report to the Spanish Town police on Tuesdays, surrender her travel documents, and have no contact with the complainant.

The matter will again be mentioned on July 17.

Allegations are that between January and April 17, 2026, Warren advertised a piece of property for sale.

The complainant reportedly paid a total of $1.4 million to Warren for the land.

Warren allegedly became elusive, and when the complainant made checks, it was revealed that Warren did not own the property.

As a result, the woman made a report to the Spanish Town police.

An investigation was launched, and Warren was subsequently arrested and charged.
