Licensed firearm holder suspected to have committed suicide in St Andrew

A 62-year-old man is suspected to have died by suicide at his home in Kingston 8 on Thursday morning.
He is David Burke of Bucknell Avenue, Kingston 8.
Reports indicate that about 6:32 a.m., his relatives were at home when they heard an explosion.
They reportedly went to investigate and discovered Burke lying on the ground in a pool of blood with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the head.
The Gleaner understands his licensed pistol was found beside him.
Burke was rushed to the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI) where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The Grants Pen Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) is investigating the incident.
