Man killed in gun attack at bar in Cassava Piece

A manhunt has been launched by the police for two men who allegedly shot and killed a patron at a bar in Cassava Piece, St Andrew last night.
The deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Jerome Ellis, otherwise called ‘Keno’, a resident of the community.
Police reports are that about 11:00 p.m., Ellis was inside the bar along Cassava Piece Road in the community when two men wearing masks entered the establishment.
The police say one ordered a drink, while the other approached and had a brief conversation with Ellis.
Explosions were heard, and the men ran from the bar.
Ellis was observed with what appeared to be gunshot wounds to the upper body.
The police were summoned, and he was assisted to the Kingston Public Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Constant Spring police are investigating the matter.
