Retired policeman found dead at home

The Spanish Town police have launched an investigation into the sudden death of a retired policeman who was on Monday night found unresponsive in his St Catherine home.
He has been identified as Edris Farquharson of Eltham Park, Spanish Town.
The retiree had reportedly called a friend on Sunday complaining of pains in his back.
He was not seen after and several calls to his phone were unsuccessful.
Persons made checks at his home on Monday night and found the premises well-lit and securely locked.
The police were summoned and upon entry into the dwelling found Farquharson unresponsive in the kitchen.
The scene was processed and his body removed for post-mortem examination.
The deceased was a former sergeant and last served the St Andrew North police division until his recent retirement.
