Address the chaos in downtown Kgn

THE EDITOR, Madam:

I was recently walking the streets of downtown Kingston with a heavy frown.

The streets surrounding Big Tree, Luke Lane and much of downtown are extremely crowded and, at times, impassable because vendors block the walkways with their goods. Walking through these areas requires a high degree of caution to keep personal belongings safe in such a crowded environment.

It is frustrating that I frequently have to step into small crevices and wait up to 30 seconds at a time just to allow other pedestrians to pass along the narrow pathway left by vendors.

Are these single-lane walkways? Should people not have adequate space to walk? Little did I know that I had nowhere else to be. That I would rather spend all day navigating crowded streets in search of a place to walk. Perhaps I am expected to learn to fly.
