St Catherine motorcyclist charged in death of 7-y-o boy granted $500,000 bail

The motorcyclist charged in connection with the death of a seven-year-old boy who was hit by his bike was today granted $500,000 bail with surety in the St Catherine Parish Court.

Ryan Wray, who is of a Spanish Town address, is charged with causing death by dangerous driving in relation to the death of Aiden Watson, a student of Fairview Park in Spanish Town.

The bail application was made by attorney-at-law Rodain Richardson.

In granting bail, Parish Court Judge Courtney Maxwell ordered the accused to surrender his travel documents and submit his fingerprints.

A stop order was also imposed.

He is to return to court on September 11, when the matter will again be mentioned.

Allegations are that about 3:00 p.m. on May 28, 2026, the child was hit by a motorcycle driven by Wray.

Watson was assisted to the Spanish Town Hospital, where he was admitted.

He succumbed to his injuries on June 3.

The police conducted further investigations, which resulted in Wray being charged.
